I listened to that interview yesterday. It blew my mind! Companies may buy their micro reactors, but the communities these data centers are in still have to approve their use. Sheer hubris.
It's bananas. One thing I failed to note in this piece is that I actually do think there's a place for microreactors and SMRs in the energy mix (even though I suspect next-gen geothermal could get us there faster and with less impact and controversy), and attitudes like this make ANYTHING nuclear, even fusion, a greater uphill battle. Just counterproductive, all the way around.
